Edit mode sidebar — Text editing panel states in the Shosho writing app

Three states of the Text editing panel in Shosho, a writing app built to help people write more, and better.

Empty, the panel asks for some text first. When the draft is clean, an illustration and a short “Your writing looks tight! Great job” take the place of the list. When there’s work to do, readability, writing level and editing level sit at the top, and every kind of issue gets its own row: hard-to-read sentences, simpler alternatives, style mistakes, filler words, adverbs and passive voice. A colored count leads each row, so the biggest problems stand out first.
