Improved Edit Mode — Writing feedback edit mode for the Shosho editor
An improved Edit Mode for Shosho, the part of the editor that reviews a draft and marks what to fix.
Problems are highlighted in the text by type, and the Text editing panel on the right counts each one in its matching color: sentences that are very hard or a bit hard to read, better alternatives, style mistakes, fillers, adverbs and passive voice. Above the list, readability and a grade-level writing score give the overall picture.
Clicking a highlight opens a small card with the suggested rewrite on top and a short reason under it, here redundant and clunky.
