Onboarding flow (Upload your bill) — Utility bill upload onboarding step for Public Grid
Verifying your utility by uploading a bill, in Public Grid’s mobile onboarding.
Public Grid works with several partners, and each brings customers in through its own onboarding, so the flows have to accommodate every one of them. This screen is one step from one of those flows.
Instead of a bare upload field, this screen shows what happens to the bill while it’s scanned: the utility is verified, the details confirmed, the status updated. People hand over a document full of personal details more readily when they can see where it goes. The only thing the screen asks of you is a ZIP code.
It was part of the onboarding redesign, which lifted the flows’ conversion rate by 17.5%.
